My MSc in IR from LSE was 1/2 the price of SAIS etc. I just graduated from the university of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. My BMI was 30.1 but I received medical clearance two weeks ago on the first try. No BMI questionnaire, weight loss statement, appeal, etc. So there must be more to the approval/denial equation than a sub 30 BMI threshold. My other stats were fairly good — pulse 76, blood pressure 110/70, and within range labs.

You usual work ~5-10 hrs per week at a pretty menial task (my friends did poorly-attended adult health ed classes), then screw around the rest. Except you really can't do anything fun because you're poor and in a very dangerous area. The alternatives in Canada don't really match up to what the PC offers. For Peace Corps service it counted towards vacation computation automatically, and I was able to buy back 2 years (not training time) for retirement computation. It only counts for retirement if you buy it back, it is not automatic and it takes a while to get processed.
