Both times we chose Positano. Because of its popularity it is a hub for traveling to other places along the coast. I wouldn’t not recommend staying in 2 different places for that short of a trip. I would stay in Sorrento. Some of the other towns are more charming, but it has the best transportation connections by far.

October 2022. My husband and I are planning to go to the Amalfi Coast for our honeymoon for 4-5 days in October 2022. We also want to see Capri, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, and Pompeii while we are there. We are trying to figure out where we should stay. Positano and Capri are too pricey.Another option would be to stay at the mainland end of the Amalfi coast (any town with ferry service is your best bet)--we did not find Cetara an onerous distance from Pompeii for example.
